Eleanor Amelia Ward of Brooklyn, New York, retired domestic service worker, died Sunday at the age of 102 in Huntsville Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters Iona Vanterpool of Saint Thomas, VI; Irene Martin Tate of Huntsville, Alabama and Ella Glover of Brooklyn, New York; four sons, Anthony Ward, David Ward, Lawrence Ward and Mark Ward all of New York; thirty-five plus grandchildren; seventy plus great grandchildren, thrity plus great-great grandchildren and ten plus great-great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008 from the First Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Benjamin Jones officiating. The Ward family will received from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from the funeral home. After the service the body will be flown to New York for burial.
