
Louis H. “Louie” Phillips, 67 of Medford, died Sunday unexpectedly. Born and raised in Medford, and was the son of the late Helen (Brown) and Louis M. Phillips. Louis was a Senior Employment Specialist with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Unemployment Division for 20 years and retired in 1992. He served during the Vietnam war in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 as a 1st Lieutenant. Devoted brother to Nancy Phillips of Medford, Joan Phillips Ford of Hanover, and John Phillips of Brookline. Loving uncle of Lisabeth Jorgensen and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his beloved cat Winston Elvis and his sister’s dog Sophie. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
