Obituary

Gladys Marie Marg Gladys Marie Marg, 75, Clarksville, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 12 noon Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Pastor Larry Peters and Rocky Craft officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday and from 11 am until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born June 7, 1932 in Durham, North Carolina the youngest daughter of the late William and Lottie Mae Pollock. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Marg was a talented and creative artist who loved painting and all types of arts and crafts. Her love for the craft world led her to establish her own business in the production of porcelain dolls and the instructing and teaching of techniques of porcelain doll making. She is survived by her husband of 57 plus years, Curtiss J. C. Marg: her children, Curtiss J. C. Marg (Dee) of Saratoga Springs, New York; and Deborah Melson (Dan) , Clarksville; four grandchildren, Tiffany Ryan (Sean), Greenfield, NY; Carlea Marg (Adrian), Portland, OR; Bray Melson and Jordon "Jae" Melson, Clarksville; and one great-grandson, Jake Ryan, Greenfield, NY; and a great-granddaughter born March 2, 2008. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, Carillon Fund KVCW, 5817 Campbell Blvd. Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
