Obituary

Marco Ricci, 92, of 7 Lincoln Street and formerly of Leicester,
Brookfield and Worcester died Friday, Feb. 29 in the Meadows of Leicester
surrounded by his loving family after an illness.
His wife of 54 years Irene P. (Hebert) Ricci died in 1998. He leaves a
daughter Therese M. Sauro with whom he lived, a step-son Francis H. Cormier
of Leicester, a step-daughter Pauline R. Merhib of Leicester, 20
grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and 2
nephews. He is pre-deceased by brothers Guido & Armando Ricci and a
step-son Raymond A. Cormier.
Mr. Ricci was born in Sulmona, Italy son of Antonio and Grace (Ricci)
Ricci. He was a Truck Driver for 30 years at the Bear-Mingola Trucking Co.
retiring in 1977. He served in the United States Army during WW II. He was
a member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church in Leicester, a former member of
the Leicester Senior Citizens group, and the Local 170 Teamsters. He
enjoyed playing pitch and cribbage.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 3 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St.
Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant Street, Leicester. Entombment will
be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday
in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to
The Meadows of Leicester patient activities fund, 111 Huntoon Memorial
Highway, Leicester, MA 01542 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital,
501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
