Phyllis J. Dolan, 84 of Brockton died Friday February 29th in the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Born and brought in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie (Roberts) Dolan. She was a Brockton High graduate and attended a two year business school. Phyllis worked for the Brockton Public Schools as a secretary for 20 years and also for the Brockton mayor’s office. She was a veteran of the United States Navy .She enjoyed watching sports, bowling, sewing and crafts, she also liked to travel.
She is survived by her niece Kathleen (Kate) Cunningham of Whitman, her nephews, James Dolan of Bridgewater and Thomas Dolan of Melrose; also 3 grandnieces and grandnephews and 5 great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
Her services will be held on Thursday March 6th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours will be held 2 hours prior to service 9:00- 11:00 A.M.
