Maria M. Williamson, age 81, of Water Valley, MS, died Friday, February 29, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, N MS in Oxford, MS. She was born May 3, 1926 in Agana, Guam to the late Jesus and Dolores Arriola Manalisay and was married to the late Dudley Cooper Williamson, Sr. She had been employed at Big Yank Industry for many years and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
The visitation will be Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS, with Rev. James Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS, with Greg Williamson, William Turner, Calvin Schmitz, Dennis Sutherland, Tommy Ashford, and George Lambert serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by two daughters, Vicenta Ann Craigo of Kearneyville, WV and Dolores “Dolly” Turner of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Dudley Cooper Williamson, Jr. of Germantown, TN and James Williamson of Lupton City, TN; two sisters, Francisca Buresh of Pine Bluff, WY and Dolores Luzano of Agana, Guam; two brothers, Antonio Manalisay of Hayward, CA and Manuel Manalisay of San Francisco, CA; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesus Manalisay and Jose Manalisay, and one sister, Ana Farrell.
