Peggy J. (Panks) Bleakney 77, of Needham died on Friday February 28th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. Born in England Peggy came to this country in 1953. She late moved to Needham in 1970. While in Needham Peggy became very active at the Needham Community Council. She was the beloved wife of the late William M. Bleakney. Loving mother of Marilynne M. Leblanc of Needham, Deborah E. Kelly of Gulfport, MS and Paul E. Bleakney of Taunton. Sister of Roy and David Panks of England. Grandmother of William Leblanc, Erica Asble, Courtney Bleakney, Victoria and Ryan Bleakney. Also survived by three great grandchldren. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday from 4-8 Pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne are private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Peggy’s name may be made to the Needham Community Council, 51 Lincoln St. Needham MA 02492. Active volunteer for many years at the Needham Community Council.
