Genevieve “Jean” (Kalinowski) Berescik, 89, died peacefully Friday February 29th at Greystone Farm, Salem, NH
Born in 1919 in New Britain, CT, Jean was one of six children of Martin and Eleanor Kalinowski. Jean married her late husband, John, in 1941 and enjoyed 59 years of marriage. She and her husband moved to Saugus, MA in 1952 where they lived for 48 years.
Jean worked for many years as an office clerk at General Electric Riverworks in Lynn, MA, retiring in 1984.
Her move to Salem, NH in 2000 marked a new episode in her life in which she thrived and rejoiced in all the new friendships she made at Greystone Farm Assisted Living. She enjoyed cooking, baking and especially dining out. Jean also was a great animal lover, with a great fondness for dogs. Her greatest pleasure in life, though, was her family, which she was fiercely devoted to. She constantly spoke with great pride of her grandson, Chris.

Calling hours will be Tuesday March 4th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
A Funeral Service will be Wed. March 5th at 11AM at the Funeral Home. Committal Services will be private.
