Darhlene J. Brien, age 42, a resident Hooksett, NH, formerly of Lowell, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH, after a long illness.
She was the beloved mother of Jonathan Sylvester. Darhlene was born in Lowell on August 18, 1965, the daughter of Donna R. (Lombard) (Brien) Keefe of Allenstown, NH and the late Joseph P. Keefe. She was raised and educated in Lowell.
Darhlene was a very giving person and enjoyed being with her family, loved to read, play board games, trivia games, build puzzles and roller skating. She also loved her cat, Tigger.
Besides her son, Jonathan Sylvester of Lowell and her mother, Donna Keefe of Allenstown, NH, she is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie Brien and Dan Surrette of Wilmington, Deanne and Donald Fone of Dracut, Dawn and Mark Vachon of Tyngsboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Kristen Brien of Allenstown, NH; thirteen nieces and nephews, Anthony, Christopher, Shawn, Christy, Johnny, Kevin, Katie, Joshua, Jen, Cory, Courtney, and Danny Jr. Great aunt to Kaylee, granddaughter of Ruth Lombard of Lowell and the late Frederick Lombard; a dear friend, Robert Hildreth and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was also the aunt of the late Savannah Jolene Surrette.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell, on Friday, Feb. 29 from 4 to 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9am at St. Francis Church, Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
