TORSTEN H. PARKE, JR., 81, of Hull, died on Thursday, Feb. 28th, 2008 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Mr. Parke was born in Chicago, Illinois and was educated the Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ, Princeton University and the University of Virginia Law School. He served on active duty with the United States Navy during World War II and Korea. An attorney by profession, from 1954 -1961 he was a Corporate Attorney for the Flintkote Co. in New York City; from 1961-1966 was an Associate Attorney for McConnell, Valdes and Kelley in San Juan, PR. From 1966-1971 was a Partner at Parke, Graves and Rodrigues also in San Juan. He then was a Corporate Attorney for the Flintkote Co. of White Plains, N.Y. and Stamford, CT from 1973-1980. From 1980 - 1989 he served as Chief Counsel for the Genstar Building Materials Division in Dallas, TX and then entered into private practice from 1989 - 1999 in Dallas. In addition, from 1993-1999 he was President of Mend Technology, Inc. also in Dallas.
He is survived by his sister, Marjorie P. Felton of Hingham and 3 nieces. He was the son of the late Torsten H., Sr. and the late Gertrude (Light) Parke.
The funeral services and interment are to be private. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by family request.
