Sheldon E. Correia, 53 of Fairhaven died February 25, 2008 unexpectedly at Brigham & Women's Hospital.
He was the former husband of the late Belinda Ann (Durocher) Correia.
Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Arnold and Margaret (Furtado) Correia, he lived in Fairhaven all of his life.
Sheldon was employed by Patriot International Trucks in Medford.
He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox Fan and enjoyed gambling.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley N. Correia of Fairhaven; 2 brothers, Rodlyn Correia of East Wareham and Michael Correia of Fairhaven; his lifelong friend, Doug Gifford of Fairhaven; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Friday, February 29th from 4-9 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. His Graveside Service in Riverside Cemetery will be private.
