Memorial services for Lewis Allen Murphy, age 66, of Ashburn will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mr. Murphy died Tuesday at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Murphy was born in Worth County, Georgia and was the son of the late Willie Lee & Cleander Lucile Fogarty Murphy. He was a retired truck driver and had lived most of his live in Turner County. He was a member of the Church of God in Ashburn and was an avid gardener.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Marie Murphy, of Ashburn and three daughters, Sabrina Munoz, of Thomasville, Sherri Bowling anACd Shelia White, both of Perry, Ga. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers, Willie Leon Murphy, Sycamore and Danny Lee Murphy, Ashburn, Ga. and two sisters, Agnes M. West, Newton and Bernice McCard, Sycamore, Ga.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
