Betsy Galindo-Figeroa, age 70, died Monday, Feb. 26 at her home in Lowell after a long illness.
She was born in Puerto Rico on June 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Damien and Lola Galindo. Betsy resided in Lowell since 1971 and was formerly of Puerto Rico.
She is survived by three daughters, Olga Ortiz of Kissimmee, FL, Evelyn and Betsy Torres, of both Providence, RI; five sons, David Ortiz, Victor Torres and his fiance, Elba Rodriguez, Edwin Torres, all of Lowell, and Onix and Alvin Torres, both of Providence, RI; a sister, Maxima Galindo of Puerto Rico; also 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 3 to 7pm. A Prayer Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10 o'clock followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
