Hong Cho Leung, 94, of New Bedford died February 25, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was the husband of the late Kwan Yau (Hui) Leung.
Born in Canton, China, he had lived in New Bedford for the last 40 years.
Survivors include a son, Wah Fong "Billy" Leung of Dartmouth - proprietor of the China Lantern Restaurant in New Bedford; 3 daughters, Fong Kwan Hui and Fong Yee Hao, both of New York and Fong Chee Tam of Fairhaven; a brother, Hong Chek Leung of East Greenwich, RI; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours Friday, February 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. His family will receive guests on Saturday, March 1st from 9-9:45 AM followed by his Funeral Service at 9:45 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
