Obituary



Dartmouth - Charles S. Caulfield, 89, of Westport passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth after a brief illness. He was the husband of Alice L. (Britton) Caulfield.

Born in New Briton, Ct, son of the late Joseph F. and Mary C. (Grace) Caulfield, he had lived in Westport for the last 30 years. A WWII veteran, he served in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a radio and electronics officer for the United States Merchant Marines for 35 years. Mr. Caulfield was a member of the Westport Point United Methodist Church.

Including his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Leslie J. Caulfield of Westport and Sarah J. LaValley of Westport; 2 sisters: Mary DiNicolo of Norwich, Ct and Grace Nickeson of Norwich, CT; 3 grandchildren: Julia, Peter and Benjamin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was brother of the late Hubert A. Caulfield, Joseph F. Caulfield, Jean V. Caulfield and Katherine Marien.

Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Westport Point United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Westport Point United Methodist Church, 1912 Main Rd., Westport Point, MA 02791.
