Obituary

William F. Wasik, age 70, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly on February 23rd, 2008, at Saints Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Debra (Coates) Wasik.
He was born in Billerica, on September 9th, 1937, son of the late Theodore J. and Alice (Rollins) Wasik. William attended Lowell schools, and graduated from Lowell High School.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Prelco of Lowell for many years. According to the family, he was an avid New York Yankees fan, he enjoyed music, especially Elvis. He also loved animals, including his cats "Tuffy" & "Stinky" which he considered his children. He was an avid supporter of the Society for Protection of Animals.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cindy Turco of Pelham, NH; his brother, Robert Wasik, with whom he resided in Lowell; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara McKenney of Dracut, and Ginger and Jim Borst of Pelham, NH; a grandson, Brian Turco of Pelham; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Richard Wasik who died in 1998.
Relatives & Friends are invited to attend his memorial visitation on Wednesday at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
