Joseph R. Rodrigues Jr., 55, of Foxborough and a former Franklin resident, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Caritas Norwood Hospital.
Born in Boston, March 17, 1952, a son of the late Joseph R. and Leah (Silva) Rodrigues, he formerly live in Franklin for most of his life.
He was raised and educated in Boston, and until illness forced him to retire, Mr. Rodrigues worked as a truck driver for several local trucking companies.
He was a former Eagle Scout and was active with Boy Scouting. He was a former leader in the Explorer program, and was an avid sports fan. He loved children and animals and especially enjoyed Native American crafting.
He is survived by three sons, Anthony Rodrigues of Fall River, David Best of Concord, N.H., and Thomas Martin of Medway; a daughter, Amy Martin of Bellingham; two sisters, Josephine Hutchinson of Austin, Texas, and Marie McManus of Franklin; and his fiancee, Brenda Martin of Foxborough.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass, Saturday, at 9 a.m., at St. Mary Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin.
Interment is private.
