Marjorie "Margie" Easters Powell, 74, of Tifton died Monday, February 25, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 29, 2008, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Marv Williams will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 28, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Powell was born on April 2, 1933 in Enigma and was the daughter of Andrew Easters and Nona Cook Easters, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Clinton Powell, who died in January of 2007; two brothers; and one grandson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Brunswick Holiness Baptist Church.
Ms. Powell is survived by one son, Thad Powell of Brunswick; three sisters, Naomi Sego Reader of Centerville, Evelyn Swain of Enigma and Mildred Moorman of Tifton; and one grandson, Timmy Powell of Brunswick.
