Eula "Mary" Davis Smith, 86, of Tifton died Monday, February 25, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Bobby Helton and Rev. Jason Jones will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Jeffrey Smith, Michael W. Hill, Charlie Hill, Freddy Davis, Billy Haynes and Darrien Davis will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Smith was born on June 29, 1921 in Worth County and was the daughter of Ben R. Davis and Delilah Mary Barfield Davis, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie E. Smith; one son, Charlie Alvin Smith; three brothers; and one granddaughter, Missy Smith. She was the retired owner and operator of Toyland and Hobby Craft in Tifton.
Ms. Smith is survived by one son, Aubrey Smith of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Madine and Winston Hill of Tifton; one brother, L. E. Davis of Valdosta; one sister, Gertrude Dickerson of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Michael W. Hill, Terri Atkinson and Jeffrey Smith; four great grandchildren, Charlie M. Hill, Michael B. Hill, Rachel Atkinson and Ari Atkinson; and several nieces and nephews, who loved her very much.
