Westport - Doris L. (Hitt) Lawton, 93, of Westport passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at home after a brief illness. She was widow of Walter A. Lawton.
Born in Westport, she was daughter of the late Charles H. and Lily (Cowling) Hitt, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. Mrs. Lawton was a graduate of Westport High School Class of 1933.
Survivors include 2 sons: Donald F. Lawton and his wife Joann of Preston, MD and Bruce A. Lawton and his wife Joyce of Westport; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was sister of the late Della Tripp, Charles Hitt and Jean Nissen.
Funeral services will be private.
