Louis LaBella a long-time Medford resident, died at Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford. He was 95.
Born in Boston’s North End and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Luigi and the late Theresa (Di Salvo) LaBella. A member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union, he worked as a tailor at the former Goldstien and Tuck in Boston. He was a member of Somerville’s Ball Square bowling league.
He was the husband of the late Adeline (Mazzarino) LaBella. He was the father of Elaine Guarino of Medford, Louis LaBella and his wife Karen of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Mary Montiero of Ohio.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Medford, Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, Medford at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
