Vera Bass Busbin, 51, of Ocilla died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, February 25, at the Pinetta Baptist Church in Irwin County, with Dr. Danny Ray, Pastor of Pinetta Baptist Church and Chaplin of Hospice of Tift Area, officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinetta Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Busbin was born November 19, 1956 in Albany, to James M. and Lois Harpe Bass. She was employed in the dietary department of Irwin County Hospital and was a former teller at Citizen Security Bank and Ameris Bank in Ocilla. She also was a former employee of Hardee’s. Mrs. Busbin was a 1975 graduate of Forest High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mrs. Busbin is survived by her husband, Larry G. Busbin of Ocilla; 3 Sons: Larry Dewayne (Kathy) Busbin of McRae, Patrick Patterson of Ocilla and Jason (Mandy) Patterson of Ocilla; Parents: James M. and Lois Harpe Bass of Ocilla; two grandsons Robbie Patterson and Camron Patterson of Ocilla; Sister: Terri (Jeff) Brinson and nephew: Jeffery Brinson, Jr. all of Ochlocknee. She was preceded in death by a son, Todd Allen Busbin.
