Marhta W. (Wood) Glynn, a 20 year resident of Charlestown and formerly of South Boston and Mattapan, died on Friday February 22, 2008 at Cambridge City Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 73 years old.
Martha was born in Boston. She grew up in Mattapan where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Hyde Park High School. Marhta worked for over 25 years at Federal Distillers in Cambridge as a laborer and was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 25.
Martha was the beloved daughter of the late Charles E. and Carrie (Jardine) Wood. She is the devoted sister of Eleanor Freeman and her late husband Paul of Taunton, Carol Savoy and her late husband John of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and Ross Jardine and his wife Alice of Alaska. She is the loving aunt of 13 nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday February 26, 2008 in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
