Walter E. Webb, 88, formerly of 111 Central Park Terrace, Franklin, died Friday, February 22, 2008, at the Maples Nursing Home in Wrentham, following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Ina A. (King) Webb, who died in 1981.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada, August 7, 1919, a son of the late Weston S. and Bertha (Crabbe) Webb, he came to the United States at age 33. He settled in Westwood where he lived until relocating to Franklin in 1981.
Mr. Webb was a retired plastering contractor. He established his business in 1960, and it continues today operated by his son and grandson.
His hobbies and interests include time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, bowling, and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a son: Gerald W. Webb and his wife Peg of Franklin; 4 grandchildren: Denise M. Davis, Cindy L. Powell, Nancy A. Maiorana, and Jay W. Webb all of Franklin; 7 great grandchildren: Shawn, Michael, Jessie, Cory, Nick, Olivia, and Emilee.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at 10:00 AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneral.com. Interment will follow at Terrace Hill Cemetery, Walpole.
