Becky Dunn, 83, of Laconia, NH died Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Laconia Genesis Healthcare Center. Mrs. Dunn was born in Pace, FL on September 7, 1924, a daughter of the late Frank and Lillie (Morgan) Griffin. She raised her children in Medford, MA and had also lived several years in Nahant, MA prior to moving to Clearwater, FL. In 2002 she moved to Belmont, NH and in 2004 to Laconia Genesis Healthcare in Laconia, NH. She and her husband, Victor Iverson, owned I.D. Machine Company in Winchester, MA, Medford, MA and then Malden, MA, making precision screw machine products. As a child she attended the Salvation Army in Florida. She was baptized at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church in Candler, NC and was also a member. She had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, FL. The last church she attended was Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Clearwater where she had many friends. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and cooking. She just lived for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her younger years she was very involved in the Eastern Star in Melrose, MA. She had attended Malden Business School and had been a Real Estate Agent in Clearwater, FL.
She leaves her dedicated daughter Pat Milton and her husband Ivan of Gilmanton, NH, her son David Steven Iverson and his wife Nancy of Goffstown, NH, four grandchildren, Mark Milton of Hingham, MA, Robin LaCouture of Wolfeboro, NH, David Iverson of Manchester, NH, April Lemay of Goffstown, NH, ten great grandchildren, Shelby LaCouture, Alex LaCouture, Sarah Milton, Caroline Milton, Katherine Milton, Trina Iverson, Nathan Iverson, Kailey Lemay, Jacob Lemay, and Tyler Lemay, three sisters, Marie Mock of Albany, NY, Lavern Chittum of Clearwater, FL, Betty McGraw of Pensacola, FL, and one brother, Frank Griffin of Pensacola, FL. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Gunter, her second husband, Victor Carl Iverson in 1968 and her third husband, Thomas F. Dunn in 2001, two sisters, Lether Landry and Grayce Barrows, and three brothers, Julius, Ernest and Bobby Griffin.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 1-3pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH, with a funeral service that followed at 3:00pm. Burial will be in the spring in the Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry. Becky’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Laconia Center for all of the special care given her.
