Martha Sargent, 82, of Manchester, NH, died Friday, February 22, 2008 in the Maple Leaf Health Care Center in Manchester. Mrs. Sargent was born in Auburn, NH on February 7, 1926, a daughter of the late Leon M. and Eva B. (Marsh) Harris. She was a resident of Manchester since 2007, formerly living in Auburn for most of her life. Mrs. Sargent was a member of the Londmeadow Congregational Church in Auburn. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John Sargent of Manchester; her daughter, Barbara A. Lovering of Manchester; two sons, James W. Sargent, of Texas, and Brad L. Sargent of Auburn; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Donald E. Sargent in 1990.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710.
