Leo C. Boltrucyk, 91, of Tifton, formerly of Chicopee, Massachusetts, died Friday, February 22, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Gary Cadwell will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Rogers, Lendy Rogers, Craig Stone, Larry Goss, Felton Coggins and Conrad Rogers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Boltrucyk was born on April 22, 1916 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was the son of Jan Boltrucyk and Dessie Zelong Boltrucyk, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Holly Lefebvre; his first wife, Helen Collins Boltrucyk; one brother, Henry Boltrucyk; and one sister, Jane Carroll. He attended Brookfield Baptist Church. Mr. Boltrucyk was an electronic engineer, employed by F. W. Sickles Corporation of Chicopee, Massachusetts, retiring in 1980, when he and his wife Lota Pearl moved to Tifton. He was a member of the Keyman's Club in Chicopee, as well as numerous other organizations. He had a long-standing hobby of photography, as well as gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Lota Pearl Rogers Boltrucyk of Tifton; two sons, Stanley Bolton of California and John Boltrucyk of Colorado; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia Konopka of Colorado, Jean and Henry Bugden of Connecticut, and Carol and Daniel Ross of Connecticut; and one step-daughter and her husband, Faith and George Williams of Massachusetts; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Brookfield Baptist Church, Brookfield, Georgia, or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
