Obituary

Rose D. Gilman, a resident of Chelsea since 1964, entered into rest on February 20, 2008 at the Whidden Hospital. She was 78 years old.

Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Morris & Lillian (Finkelstein)Gilman, Rose was raised & educated in Boston, graduating from Girls High School in 1948. She worked for the Stop & Shop Companies for a number of years & was also an examiner for the Forecaster Raincoat Company. Rose was a member of the Lady Garment Workers Union - Local 24. She was devoted to her loving family & enjoyed travelling & sightseeing. Her gentle spirit & unconditional love will be her legacy.

Rose was the beloved sister of Irving Gilman, Frances Minsky, & Selma Masel all of Chelsea. She is also survived by her cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, & great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rabbi Nochum Cywiak of Cong. Agudas Shalom & Cong. Ahavas Achim Anshe Sfard of Chelsea will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rabbi Isaac Elchonen Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be private. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 9 Riverside Rd. Weston, MA 02493.
