Denise E. Deatte, 40, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at her home following a courageous three-year battle with breast cancer. Denise was born in Hyannis, MA on February 20, 1968, raised in Rochester, NH and was a resident of Derry for the past year and a half.
She is survived by her life partner, Nancy Turcotte of Derry, her mother, Claire Johnson and her husband Larry of Milton, NH, a sister, Janine Allfrey and her husband Dennis of Farmington, NH, a brother, Paul Washburne and his wife Beverly of Middleton, NH, three sisters-in-law, Johanne Turcotte of Sawyerville, PQ, Canada, France Turcotte of Sherbrooke, PQ, Canada, Lisette Huot of Canaan, VT, a brother-in-law, Arlen Turcotte of Sherbrooke, PQ, Canada, three nieces, Morgan Washburne, Brittany Schumaker, Vicky Huot, six nephews, Benjamin Allfrey, Michael Allfrey, Christopher Schumaker, Eric Huot, Kevin Turcotte, Christopher Turcotte, her gram, Alice Johnson of Tamworth, NH and also by many, many friends and family.
Visiting hours were held from 2-4pm Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, with a funeral service at 4:00pm, with cremation following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for a proposed chapel to be established at the Parkland Medical Center in her memory, and/or to the American Cancer Society.
