Joyce, Joseph T. of Quincy February 20, 2008.Beloved husband of 53 years to Patricia C. (McCaffrey) Joyce. Loving father of Joseph Joyce and his wife Jacqueline of Quincy, Brenda and her husband Patrick Sprague of Canton and Mark Joyce and his wife Patricia of Stoughton. Brother of William Joyce of Medford, Dorothy A. Joyce of Quincy, Patricia Gallagher of Hingham, Marie Brewster of FL and the late Thomas, Robert Joyce and and Mary Cannon. Devoted grandfather of Samuel, Matthew, Kelli and Ryan.
Joseph grew up in Dorchester and worked for New England Telephone Company as a foreman for 35 years retiring back in 1985. He was an active member of the Pioneers Club and volunteered at the Perkins School for the blind for many years which he found to be a very rewarding experience. Joseph was also a member of the Castle Island Association in South Boston. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed following the Patriots and Red Sox. Joseph was an avid skier and loved being on the slopes with his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Tuesday at 9 AM.
Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Monday 4- 8 PM.
Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. Joyce may be made to Sacred Heart School, 370 Hancock St. North Quincy, MA, 02171 or to a charity of your choice.
