Bettina “Tina” M. Robie, 78 of Manchester, NH died peacefully Wednesday February 20, 2008 in Manchester with her son by her side. Mrs. Robie was born in Lisbon, NH on May 3, 1929 the daughter of the late Reginald G. and Madeline (Parker) Kimball. She was a 1947 graduate of Littleton High School and married Robert D. Robie on September 2, 1950. In 1952 she and her husband moved from Littleton to Manchester where she had lived since. She retired in 1998 from Building 19 in Manchester where she had been employed for 19 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a lifetime member and first female member of the East Side Club, both of Manchester. In addition, she and her husband enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Robie in 2002.
She is survived by her son, Robert E. Robie and his wife Penny of Manchester, one stepdaughter, Sharilyn L. Button and her husband Charlie of W. Roxbury, MA, one granddaughter, Megan Robie of Manchester, three step-grandsons, Robert Button of E. Brookfield, MA, John Button of Westwood, MA, David Sylvester of Manchester, twin great-grandchildren, John and Alexandra Button of E. Brookfield, MA, two brothers, Rudy Kimball of Fairborn, OH and Earl Brady of Enfield, NH, one step-sister, Maxine Goodell of Tehachapi, CA, also several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
