She was born on March 31, 1916 in Fort Kent, Maine, daughter of Michel and Beatrice (Plourde) Daigle. In her early youth she moved to the Boston Allston area, where she met and married her husband. They eventually moved to the Morningdale area of Boylston in 1955. For many years "Gil" worked in sales at various Worcester companies including Ware Pratt and Singer Fabrics, where she taught sewing classes. Everyone knew her as a gracious hostess with an open heart and home, who enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining her many guests. Most of all, she was dedicated to her family, who meant the world to her. She will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 3:00 p.m at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA. The family requests the omission of flowers and invites family and friends to share their remembrances on that day.
