J. Kevin Winn of Brockton, 59 years died unexpectedly at home February 17, 2008. Born and raised in Brockton, the son of the late Jack and Helen (Mendosa) Winn, he was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1966 and attended Bridgewater State College. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the US Coast Guard for four years. Kevin had been employed by Fore River Shipyard; Tacoma Boat in Seattle, WA for ten years and returned to Brockton where he was currently employed by Ryan Ironworks in Raynham. In his youth he had been an alter boy at St. Margaret’s Church and while living in Washington, had been a Eucharistic Minister at St. Vincent de Paul Church and coached his sons baseball teams. He enjoyed his grandchildren; was a New England Sports fanatic and a die hard Red Sox fan. He was a member of the Enterprise Club, Ironworkers Union and the American Legion Post 0405 in Raynham.
He is survived by 2 sons, Brandon J. Winn and his wife Beth of Brockton and Stephen J. Winn and his wife Danielle of Whitman, 4 grandchildren, Devin, Aiden, Brandon and Lucas, his former wife Kathleen Fitts, many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was the brother of the late Judyth Kenneally and Dianne Michienzi
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15am.Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm
