John F. Lundy, Jr., 71, a resident of Salisbury, MA., and formerly of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA.
Born in Lawrence, Mr. Lundy was educated in the Lawrence Schools, and was a 1954 graduate of Lawrence High School. He had worked as a Lawrence Patrolman for 28 years retiring in 1991. Mr. Lundy enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his friends at the beach. He was lead drummer in the Lundy-Burke Marsh Marching Band.
The widower of Nancy Ann (Teichman) Lundy, family members include:
daughters: Christine A. Arsenault and her husband Kevin of North Andover, MA., Delia Lundy of Salisbury, MA. a son: Peter J. Lundy and his wife Renee of Merrimac, MA. as well as 3 grandchildren: Marisa, Kevin, and Marc Lundy.
He is also survived by a brother: Mark Lundy of North Hampton, MA., and a sister: Nancy Bresnahan of Hatfield, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
