Frank L. Geiler, 91 years of Hyannis died Monday morning, February 18, 2008 in the Pavilion Nursing Facility in Barnstable. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Sheehan) Geiler. He was born, raised and educated in Brockton; the son of the late John B. and Anne C. (Shortall) Geiler.
Mr. Geiler was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1933 at the age of 16 following two double promotions. He was employed for 46 years for the Brockton Ice and Coal Company retiring in 1979 while also working as a bus driver for the Eastern Mass Street Railway System and the Taunton Dog Track. Frank will be remembered as a hard working family man who enjoyed quiet time and living on the Cape.
He is survived by his children, Thomas F. of Centerville; Peter R. of Falmouth; Deborah A. Wright of Land O’ Lakes, Fl; Patricia L. Phillips of Buzzards Bay and E. Jain Holland of Bridgewater; his brother John P. of Bourne and the late Anne Peavey; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church , Brockton at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm.
