Herman Gray, 70, of Fitzgerald died Tuesday, February 19 at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, February 23 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Samuel Cobb and Rev. Norman Ethridge officiating. Interment will follow in Big Creek Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Gray was born May 16, 1937 in Berrien County to the late Warren and Estelle Nasworthy Gray. He lived in the community for the past twenty years from Moultrie where he was a retired truck driver for Purvis Trucking Company and was a former resident of Nashville. Mr. Gray was an avid Gardner, an avid Purple Hurricane supporter and he loved country music. He was a member of Anderson Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sarah L. “Kitty” Gray of Fitzgerald; daughters, Estelle Gray of Valdosta and Elizabeth Gray of Fitzgerald; brothers & sister-in-law, Ted & Martha Gray of Meigs and James Franklin Gray of Ocilla.
