Mr. Robert P. Miller, Sr., 67, of 2 Glen Road, Gorham, NH, passed away on Friday February 15, 2008 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Newark, Delaware on April 5, 1940 the son of Robert and Mae (Hayman) Miller and had lived in Wilmington, Delaware prior to moving to Gorham 7 years ago. He was employed for many years as a truck driver and also worked at a golf course. He was a member of a hunting club, enjoyed the outdoors and the mountains.
He is survived by his companion of many years Marie Nugent of Gorham, NH; 3 sons Robert “Scotty” Miller, Jr., Ernest Miller and Ron Miller all of Delaware; many grandchildren; 4 brothers Leo Hayman of Nottingham, NH, Arthur Hayman of Wilmington, DE, Tom Hayman of Wilmington, DE and Kevin Tolson of Milan, NH; 3 sisters Jeanette Sutton of Bear, DE, Mary Bayard of Newcastle, DE and Rebecca Geter of Newark, DE; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and 4 siblings William Hayman, Jr., Eleanor Lloyd, Florence Lewiston and Petie Tolson.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements.
