WORCESTER-Doris I. Martin, 88, formerly of 11 Lawnfair Street, died Sunday, February 17th, in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves a daughter, Doreen M. Reiersen and her husband Frederick; and 3 grandchildren, Danielle C., Frederick A. and Brian P. Reiersen, all of Worcester.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of William T. and Dora (Mannion) Martin and graduated from the former High School of Commerce and Salter Secretarial School. Ms. Martin worked in the patient accounts department of Worcester Memorial Hospital for 30 years, retiring as assistant supervisor in 1981. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. Ms. Martin enjoyed reading and was an avid Red Sox fan.
The funeral is Thursday, February 21st, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 20th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
