Marjorie L. (Carnes) Morrison 88 years of Raynham died Wednesday February 14, 2008 at the Golden Living Center-Oak Hill in Middleboro after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Everett L. Morrison.
Mrs. Morrison was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (O’Connor) Carnes and had resided in Brockton until moving to Raynham 30 years ago. A 1937 graduate of Brockton High School, she had worked briefly as a telephone operator before staying home to raise her daughters.
Mrs. Morrison was very sociable and enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and solving crossword puzzles. She loved the Boston Red Sox and was most proud of her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters Mary Ann Ogo and her husband Kenji of Raynham and Tokyo and Lisa Barnes and her husband Tom of Mansfield; also her grandchildren Kristen Johnson and her husband Erik of Plainville and Kevin Barnes of Mansfield.
A Graveside Service will be will be held in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery 163 North Cary Street, Brockton Tuesday at 11:30 am. Enter the gate to the left (north) of the tomb. Take the 2nd right and drive up the circular road. The grave is on the top of the hill.
