Anthony J. Crivello, of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville, died Sunday at the Winchester Hospital. He was 96.
Mr. Crivello was born in Boston’s North End and raised in Everett, the son of the late Marione and the late Maria (Cannizzo) Crivello. Anthony served in the Army during World War II from the beaches of Normandy to Germany. After his service he worked as a machine operator in the metal works industry, until his retirement.
He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Nastasi). He was a devoted father to Paul Crivello of Stoneham. He was a dear brother of Joseph Crivello of Melrose, the late Anne deGaravella, Lee Lynch and Peter Crivello.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, February 16, at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Saturday, from 8 to 9:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
