Elizabeth “Betty” (Donahue) Gallo, age 68 years, of Melrose, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12th, at Melrose/Wakefield Hospital in the presence of her loving family. Born and raised in the West End of Boston and Charlestown, she attended schools there. A Melrose resident for the past 14 years, Betty was a Selector at Marshall’s Distribution Center in Woburn, from which she retired in May 2007. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Gallo, and the devoted mother of Tina Kotzuba and her husband Paul of Melrose. Betty was the loving Nannie of Brittany & Matthew Kotzuba. She was also the dear sister of Gloria Holecek and her husband Joe, Bernadine Langlois and her husband Douglas, Bernard Donahue, Jr., William Donahue and his wife Theresa, Earl Donahue and the late Gertrude “Trudy” Mazzone, and Helen Russo. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Betty’s Funeral Mass on Friday, at 11:30AM in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Interment will be private.
