Leo A. Sacco Sr., 84 died at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford on Tesday evening, December 18, the husband of Margaret “Penny” (Connors) Sacco. Born and raised in Medford. He was a lifelong resident. He enlisted in the Marine Corps during World War II, and took part in the battle for Guadacannal.
After the war he returned to Medford an became a police officer, a graduate of Medford High School, he later earned a Associates Degree from Mass Bay Community College at the age of fifty, and later retired as a Lt. Detective from the Medford Police Department after 35 years of service.

Funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford/Somerville with Rev. Robert E. Casey officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Friends may visit Friday from 4 thru 8, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
