Mabelle (Kennedy) Smith 99, died Monday February 11th in the Life Care Center of Plymouth after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Clifford l. Smith.
Born May 27, 1908 in Somerville she was the daughter of the late George and Ellen (Bingham) Kennedy.
Mabelle was a graduate of Whitman High in 1927, and a resident of Rockland for 33 years and Plymouth for 30 years. She retired from Braintree Abrasive.
She was a member of the Jehovah’s Kingdom Hall of Plymouth.
She is survived by her daughter Miriam L. Moore of Hull, her nephew Steven Martin of CA, and 2 nieces Marilyn Reiss of Carver and Nancy Sullivan of AL. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Clifford A. Smith and sister of the late Ellen Martin and George and Richard Kennedy.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday February 19th at 10 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Northville Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held Monday February 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
