J. Caleb “Caley” Ginivan, 71 of Franklin died February 11 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Armstrong) Ginivan for the past 38 years.
Born in Lowell, June 30, 1936, the son of the late William J. and Mary E. (Brimigion) Ginivan, Mr. Ginivan was a lifelong Franklin resident.
He graduated from Dean College in 1955 and the New England Linotype School in Boston.
Caleb worked in the printing business all of his working life and spent many years at the Woonsocket Call as the Ad Alley chief. He also bowled at Ficco’s Bowladrome and in a professional league. Caley enjoyed cooking, was an avid Red Sox Fan and truly enjoyed life. He was a member of the Franklin Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council. During his retirement years, he worked part-time at Ferrara’s Market in Franklin.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Beth Ginivan of Franklin, his sister, Mary Ginivan of Franklin and several good friends.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin at 8:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
