Mr. Julio “Roe” Camuso, 81, of Peabody, formerly of Reading and Medford died on Sunday in Lahey Clinic following a brief illness. He is the husband of Linda (Cowles) Camuso with whom he shared more than 38 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, son of the late Alfonso and Mary (Annese) Camuso, he attended local schools. Mr. Camuso worked as a contractor in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing and golf. An avid hunter, he was a member of the Reading Rifle & Revolver Club. In addition to his love for the outdoors he enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 2 daughters, Shirley Pelton of Winchendon and Jean Hubble of Beverly. Loving grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Brother of Phyllis Amaral and her husband Leonard of FL., Eleanor Silva of Reading, Richard Camuso and his wife Evelyn of Saugus. Brother of the late Jerry Camuso, Carmella Louis and Dorothy Goyette.
A funeral service will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday prior to services from 9 am. In lieu of flowers it has been requested that contributions in Roe’s name be sent to the charity of your choice.
