CAPASSO, Gerald F. “Jerry” aged 90, long time resident of Teaneck, NJ, died on Saturday, February 9, 2008. Born in Pescopagano, Italy he arrived in the United States when he was 10. Beloved Husband of Gloria (nee Jennings). Devoted Father of Carolynne Moritz and her husband Tim; Thomas and his wife Doree; Judy Dick and her husband Kevin. Dear Brother of Angie Ferro and the late Frank Capasso. Loving Grandfather of Chad Moritz; Keith Moritz and his wife Janice; Shannon and Ryan Dick. Jerry was the former co-owner of Capasso Brothers of Ridgewood and owner of Gerald F. Capasso Inc. in Teaneck, NJ. He was a veteran of WWII. He graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood and attended Georgetown University. He was a Little League coach and Scoutmaster in Teaneck. Funeral mass Thursday, 10am at St. Anastasia’s RC Church, Teaneck, NJ. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Friends and family may visit Tuesday February 12th 7:00-9:00PM and Wednesday 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ.
