James E. Holloway was born February 18, 1959. He was the son of the late Lucille Holloway Steger. He departed this life on Friday, February 8, 2008 at Huntsville Hospital.
He confessed hope in Jesus Christ on February 2, 2008 under the pastorship of Reverend Billy Joe Jones.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille Holloway Steger and his great nephew Derrick McAdoo, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving father Charles E. Steger, significant other of 17 years Diane Moore; sister, Victoria Rice; stepson, Chavez Moore all of Huntsville, Alabama; seven aunts, Rosetta (Willie) Wynn, Emma Walker, Dines Steger all of Huntsville, Alabama, Nellie A. Howard of Las Vegas, Nevada, Margaret (Ernest) Taylor of Berkley, Alabama, Patricia (Richard) Collier of Gurley, Alabama, Anna L. Holloway of Madison, Alabama; one great aunt, Minnie Holloway of Huntsville, Alabama; four uncles, Gordon (Dorothy) Holloway of Huntsville, Alabama, Henry (Cora) Holloway of San Bernadino, California, Larry (Lorraine) Steger of Compton, California, Eugene Collier of Berkley, AL; nephew, Dorion Rice; nieces, Tara Rice and Jocelyn Drake and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Holloway will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16. 2008 from the Saint James Primitive Baptist Church at 1093 Fairbanks Avenue with Pastor Billy Jones officiating. Interment will be in Big Cove Cemetery. The remains of Mr. Holloway will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
