In Taunton, February 9, 2008, Arthur A. Pillsbury husband of the late Cynthia (Nelson) Pillsbury of Bally Street Raynham died at Morton Hospital in Taunton at the age of 85. Born in Taunton, Arthur spent all his life in Raynham and was the son of the late George and Irene (Livermore) Pillsbury. Arthur Graduated from Taunton High School and Bryant Collage after being discharged from the U.S. Army Air Force. After graduating he went on to work for Prudential Insurance Co. and currently was the Co Owner of Slips Capeway Marine on RT 44 in Raynham. Arthur was involved in the Town of Raynham for most of his life with the Water and Sewer Commission, Water District, Raynham Special Police, Tax Collector, Former Selectmen, Deputy Chief for the Fire Dept and the Planning Board. He also belonged to the Raynham American Legion and the Raynham Lions Club. Arthur was the father of Dale Pillsbury of Portsmouth, RI., David Pillsbury and his wife Cindy of Raynham and John “Jack” Pillsbury and his Fiancée Rosemary Pacheco of Raynham. Grandfather of Stacey Morrissey and her husband John of Middleboro, Adam Pillsbury of CT, Teresa Pillsbury of New Bedford, Allison Pillsbury of South Boston, Scott Pillsbury of Raynham and Great Grandfather of Johnny and Jimmy Morrissey of Middleboro. Brother of Ruth Eaton and her husband Richard of Maine, Mildred Garceau of Portsmouth RI. and the late Warren Pillsbury. Brother in-law of Connie Pillsbury of Raynham and the late Edmond Garceau. Service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Thursday February 14th at 11 am. Calling hours will be on Wed. from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
