Betty S. Melton, 55, of Water Valley, MS, died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born September 9, 1952 to the late James Arthur & Betsy Charlene Weeks Hollinger. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
The visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS, with Rev. Donald Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery with James Hollinger, B.J. Hollinger, Andy Hollinger, John Hollinger, Terry Hollinger, and Wayne Hollinger serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband, James L. Melton, Jr. of Houston, MS; a daughter, Teresa Smith of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Michael Hollinger of Houston, MS and Billy Hollinger of State Line, MS; two sisters, Diane Musgraves and Peggy Edwards, both of Stevenson, WA; four brothers, James Hollinger of Water Valley, MS, Andy Hollinger of Houston, MS, Chestine Hollinger and Aubrey Hollinger, both of Batesville, MS; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
