FAYE R. (CLEVERLY) WIGMORE, 80, of Hallowell, Maine, formerly of Hull, passed away on Feb. 10th, 2008 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Boston on Jan. 4th, 1928, the only daughter of Amber Jack and Viola Cleverly. Faye graduated from Hingham High School in 1946 and worked at the Nantasket Hotel. She married William Wigmore and they resided in Hull. She enjoyed spending time at Nantasket Beach and at their camp in Greenwood, Maine. Faye worked for many years as a clerk at the Hull assessor's office. Later, in 1979 , she married Curtis F. Mcknight of Tampa, Florida. She spent eleven years with Curtis, enjoying time by their pool, taking Caribbean cruises and trips to Las Vegas. Faye liked doing crosswords, reading, playing Scrabble and knitting in her leisure time.
Faye was predeceased by her first husband, William Wigmore, her parents, and her brother John Cleverly. She is survived by her three children; Diane Morabito of Gardiner, Maine; William Wigmore and his wife Paula of Hingham and Richard Wigmore and his wife Maria of Lenox. She was also survived by her grandchildren ; Amber Wigmore Alvarez of Madrid, Spain, Dr. Robin Wigmore of Boston, Brendan Casey and Allison Casey both of Gardiner, Maine and Meredith Casey of Edinburgh, Scotland; great grandchildren, Noa and Adriana of Madrid, Spain. She was very proud of them all.
Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 10 AM at the Hull Village Cemetery.
